Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about transitioning to solar energy.

How much does it cost to install solar panels in Argentina?

The cost of an industrial photovoltaic system in Argentina varies depending on consumption and project scale. For a medium-sized company, typical investment ranges between USD 20,000 and USD 200,000, with a return on investment of 3 to 5 years. At Energe, we provide free energy assessments to calculate the exact ROI for your project.

What is photovoltaic solar energy and how does it work?

Photovoltaic solar energy converts sunlight into electricity using solar panels. The panels capture solar radiation and convert it into direct current (DC), which an inverter transforms into alternating current (AC) usable in the industry. An on-grid system connects to the electrical grid, allowing you to consume solar energy during the day and inject surpluses.

What is the Distributed Generation Law 27.424?

The Distributed Generation Law 27.424 allows residential, commercial, and industrial users to install renewable energy systems and connect them to the electrical grid. You can generate your own solar energy, consume it, and sell surpluses to the distributor, receiving credit on your electricity bill.

How long does it take to install an industrial solar system?

Installation time depends on the project's scale. Systems up to 100 kW are installed in 1 to 3 weeks. Larger projects (500 kW to several MW) may require 1 to 3 months. Energe handles the entire process: engineering, connection permits, installation, and commissioning.

What maintenance do solar panels require?

Photovoltaic systems require minimal maintenance. Panel cleaning is recommended every 3 to 6 months, along with an annual technical review. Solar panels have a lifespan of 25 to 30 years and inverters 10 to 15 years. Energe offers after-sales service and preventive maintenance.

In which provinces of Argentina does Energe install?

Energe installs solar panels throughout Argentina, with a presence in Mendoza, Buenos Aires, Córdoba, San Juan, Santa Fe, Rosario, and Neuquén, among other provinces. With over 19 years of history and +7,500 completed projects, we are the national leader in industrial solar energy.
